Eric Andrew Reno Obituary
Eric Andrew Reno

- - Eric Andrew Reno broke the hearts of many when he died unexpectedly on April 16, 2018. He was a kind and charming man who loved his family and friends with a passion. He was born March 24, 1979, to Gary and Linda Reno in Marinette, WI.

Eric was a 1997 graduate of Menominee High School in Menominee, MI. He excelled in all sports and was accepted as an Evans Scholar at the University of Wisconsin where he was on the golf team for three years. Eric loved UW sports and was a walking encyclopedia for past and future sporting events. He was on the Board of Directors for the W Club and took pride in being a life member.

Cooking was another passion for Eric. His culinary skills and creativity in the kitchen were amazing and now immensely missed. He was happiest when he was grilling delights for his family and friends. He loved the Northwoods where he taught his sons to fish, swim and enjoy the outdoors. He was most at home on a golf course where he would enjoy the comradery of his opponents.

Eric is survived by his parents; his sons Sebastian and Declan and their mother, Carolyn Harkins Reno to whom he was married for 11 years. He is also survived by a sister, Amy Jo (Chad) Koonce of Madison and grandmother, Beverly Pfankuch of Menominee, MI and three nieces. Eric was a loving and devoted father to Sebastian and Declan and they were the light of his life.

In spite of much support from Eric's family, friends and medical team, he succumbed to an alcohol addiction that robbed him of precious life. His wish was for those affected with this disease to get help. Call 1-888-986-6807 for help.

An education fund has been established for his sons at the Great Midwest Bank, Eric Reno Memorial Fund, 6702 Odana Road, Madison, WI 53719 or go to www.gofundme.com/sebastiandeclaneducationfund.
