Glen John Landwehr was born December 5, 1928 to Art and Louise (Weisman) Landwehr. He was raised on the family farm east of Stratford, WI. He attended the Sunshine School through eighth grade and then worked on the farm till he was 16. He worked in Indiana as a welder and then moved back home and worked in The Wausau Foundry for one year to save enough money to buy a 1950 Chevy.

He farmed on Balsam Road and then married Beverly Newman on September 26, 1953. Together, they had Jeff and Peggy. Bev died on July 22, 1961, leaving him with two small children and a farm to run. He later met Virginia Potocnik and they married on June 9, 1962. She had two children; Clarence and Kathy. Glen and Virginia had Sara, Lisa and Paul together, making one big, blended family.

Glen and Virginia enjoyed 44 years together, spending winters in Florida and Texas and a trip to Europe, Alaska, many national parks and a cruise to the Caribbean before she died on January 1, 2006.

He met Sue in 2008 while remodeling her kitchen cabinets. Their mutual love of dancing and traveling led to their marriage in 2010. They wintered in Texas and toured 38 national parks during the 10 wonderful years they spent together.

He is survived by his wife, Sue Vick, six children; Jeff (Jeananne) Landwehr, son-in-law Gary Hauke, Clarence Jackson (Judy), Peggy Busche (Dan), Sara Landwehr-Koss (Dave), Lisa Schwarze, Paul (Sandy), step-daughters Jennifer Bistline (Mike), Junalee Vick and stepson Jon Vick, and sister-in-law Dorothy Landwehr. He is further survived by 23 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents Art and Louise Landwehr, brothers Ernest, Kenneth and Orville, sister Arlene, a daughter Kathy Hauke, and granddaughters Lindsey Hauke and Shannon Kramer.

He has touched so many lives and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

In lieu of flowers, memorials will be designated to charities at a later date.
