James O. (Pete) Peterson Obituary
James O. (Pete) Peterson

Marshfield - With a heavy heart I am sad to report our dad, James (Pete) Peterson has passed. We knew his health was diminishing and quality of life was not what it should be. It is always difficult for us the living, but restful for dad, and he is now with Marion his loving wife in heaven. Dad was born to Norman and Iona in October 1929 and raised in Marshfield Wisconsin. He was the only child and had all the privileges of single child life. As a family man he had three children, Gregory, Dru, and Lee Marie. Dad was a radio-radar man for the air fleet of C141's at Norton AFB in San Bernardino Ca. He worked for about 33 years with the government and retired. He like working so much, he began a second career with Lockheed Martin aviation refurbing the C130's at Ontario Ca. After he received the fruits of his labors he stopped working for Lockheed to enjoy grandchildren and true retirement. He and mom bought a truck and travel trailer. Mom and dad travel everywhere in the country and enjoyed many adventures. Mom and dad always had something planned or somewhere to visit. As with most of us, time slips away, and health diminishes. They spent much of their elder years at home caring for one another. We were privileged to get to know mom and dad on a personal level and enjoyed them as people and not only parents. In the end it was sad to see the deterioration of health for both mom and dad, but it is the course and natural progression of life. RIP dad! You will be missed.
