Michael D. Dillinger
Auburndale - Michael Donald Dillinger, age 53, Auburndale, passed away on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at House of the Dove, Marshfield, after two courageous battles with cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 7, 2008 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Auburndale, with Rev. Antony Arokiyam officiating. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery and cousins will serve as pallbearers. The visitation will be on Tuesday from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Rembs Funeral Home and on Wednesday from 9:30 am until service time at St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Michael was born on August 1, 1965 in Marshfield, to Donald and Regina (Konrardy) Dillinger and was a 1984 graduate of Auburndale High School. He was employed at Baltus Car Wash, Wiskerchen Cheese, Nasonville Dairy and Woodfield Inn and Suites until he became disabled in January 2008 due to cancer. Bicycling was his passion and he was very proud of his three wheeled recumbent bike. He also enjoyed spending time at the Auburndale Park during the summer, helping out with the Lions Club activities as well as crushing and recycling cans. Mike was a very active member of Saint Mary's Holy Name Society and always looked forward to working for their fish fries as well as other events in the parish. Mike was a very special person and loved being around people.
Michael is survived by his parents, Donald and Regina, Auburndale, brothers and sister, James (Tami) Dillinger, Chippewa Falls, Laura (Nick) Cernohous, Eau Claire and Brian (Jackie) Dillinger of Stratford. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, Matthew and Alyssa Monson, Dylan (Andrea) Fleischman, Zoey Fleischman, Brooklyn Dillinger, Heather, Monica and Megan Dillinger.
He was predeceased by his grandparents, Andrew and Mary Dillinger and John and Josephine Konrardy.

I just heard about Mike's death. I am heart broken knowing that he and Jim have died so close in time to each other. Mike taught me a lot about what it means to be a friend. I think of him often and regret letting the miles and years separate us.
