Sharon Gray Obituary
Gray, Sharon A.

Sharon A. Gray (nee-Harding), age 67, of Marshfield, WI, formerly of Wisconsin Rapids, WI died Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at the House of the Dove, Marshfield, WI.

Private family services will be held.

Sharon was born February 12, 1946 in to William and Doris (Bakken) Harding. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1964. At one time Sharon was employed at Wood County Telephone Company.

Sharon is survived by her son, Scott (Jamie) Gray of Cle Elum, WA; three brothers, Stephen (Lisa Seeber of Sturgeon Bay, WI) Harding of Town of Rome, WI, Dave (Sue) Harding of Wisconsin Rapids, WI and Dan (Dawn) Harding of Wisconsin Rapids, WI.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents.

Our "sister" Sherry, was known as "Mom" to her son Scott and as "Sharon" to everyone at Norwood where she lived for 18 years. The entire staff and the residents in crossroads were part of her family too. With her illness life had its difficulties. Even so, her life was an inspiration to us. She was genuine. Sherry really cared about people! You felt it because there was always a "honey" or a "sweetie" included in any conversation with her. Her wit and sense of humor were enduring, but the simplicity of her love is what grabbed you. She was far from perfect, but that was part of her charm. She knew she needed a Savior and said yes Lord and accepted His Son Jesus Christ into her life. In her final weeks, we heard one story after another of how Sherry had touched the lives of so many people. God had a plan for her right where she was. God's great love lived out through one life.

We want to thank everyone at Norwood! How comforting it was for us to see the outpouring of love and support you gave Sharon, not only in her years with you but also in her final weeks of battling cancer. We also want to thank the Oncology Unit at St. Joseph's Hospital for their compassion and loving care shown to Sherry.

Finally we want to thank everyone, staff and volunteers at the House of Dove. We are so thankful that Sherry was able to spend her final days in such loving care. Our hearts are forever grateful.

Way to go Sis! You truly had a life "well lived." We miss you greatly but we know our turn will come, we will see you soon. Love you Sherry!

Memorials may be designated to the House of Dove in Marshfield, WI.
