Duchow, Rueben
Rueben A. Duchow, age 95, of Marshfield, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2016 at Golden Living Center Three Oaks in Marshfield. A Funeral will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, October 6, 2016 at Trinity Lutheran Church (9529 WI-80) in Marshfield. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Thursday at the church. Burial will take place in Slidre Cemetery in Arpin.
Rueben was born September 20, 1921, the son of John and Myrtle (Gunderson) Duchow in Marshfield. He attended Mill Creek School. On June 15, 1946 Rueben was united in marriage to Hilda Kuster in Chilton, Wisconsin. Rueben worked as a dairy farmer until 1975. In 1975 he took a job with Schreiner Plumbing and Heating and worked there until he retired in 1998.
Rueben was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He enjoyed wood working, crossword puzzles and Bible Study. Those that knew him best will remember his love of baseball.
He is lovingly survived by his wife of 70 years: Hilda; children: Gloria Duchow, Roger Duchow, and Diane (Thomas) Quick; seven grandchildren; as well as a great grandchild on the way. Rueben is further survived by his siblings: Marian Kibble and Marvin (Geraldine) Duchow. He will truly be missed.
Rueben is preceded in death by his parents: John and Myrtle; daughter-in-law: Nancy; as well as an infant sister Irene.
In lieu of flowers those wishing to express their sympathy are encouraged to do so to Northland High School.
