John Clinton Lightcap Obituary
John Clinton Lightcap, 45, made his journey home on Saturday November, 23, 2019. If you were lucky enough to know him then you knew you were loved. John had character like no other. His generous, free spirit touched so many. His kind soul loved all creatures of nature. The outdoors, fishing, canoeing and the smell of the ocean were some of his favorite things. He had a true presence of strength, where you simply felt safe just by being near him. John met the love of his life, and best friend Christina in 2007. The bond they shared was of the purest kind, they were true soulmates. He was a dedicated and loving father to both his son Dakota and stepson Nicky, devoting all his time to his family. John always said “his life was his home.” He was a proud veteran of United States Coast Guard, and currently a plumber/pipe fitter with the Local 104. John leaves behind his wife, Christina, who he always referred to as his “true north”, as he would always find his way back home to her, his eight year old son Dakota, and stepson Nicky. His mother and father, Thomas and Ellen Lightcap, his brother Joshua and wife Meghan Lightcap, his sister Erin and Robert Mazeika, his father-in-law George Rossetti and many cherished nieces and nephews. There will be a Remembrance Service for John on Thursday, December 5th at 1:00 at the Church of Christ, Upper Church St. in West Springfield. For more details please visit curranjones.com
