Dear Romig Family - I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Donald. You see, he was my cousin. I never got to know him because I came along many years after Donald and the other cousins. I think he was in touch with my sister Joyce. She passed i 2010 at the age of 84. I am 71 so I came along later. My mother was Ruth Romig Weaver Seifert. My sister was Joyce Weaver Hawk. I have read what some of the people who were his friends wrote and it makes me very sad that I never got to know him. You have my deepest sympathy.

Donna, Pat & family,
I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your dad. Growing up next to you I have fond memories of your family. Your dad loved his bathing suite, and was in it all summer long it felt like. He enjoyed spending time with all of his kids and even the ones who where not his own. He was a great man with a lot of respect. It was an honor to know him and share the laughter and love that he had for each and every one of you children, family and friends. I know that feeling of losing your dad, it hurts big time. The best thing we can think of is now he is up in heaven with his "LOVE" Bonnie, bowling or laughing together like I can remember them two always doing.
Donna if there is anything that I can do for you and your family please contact me. I'm a shoulder to cry on and hug to if needed, and an ear to listen if you need to talk.
God Bless you all,
Joe & Brenda (Koebach) Gray & family

I worked with Don for 21 years as an electrician in the blast furnaces until his retirement. And I continued working at the blast furnaces until the plant close. Besides being a good worker Don was a good friend.
No matter how old we are, losing a father or love one is one of the deepest sorrows a heart can know, but his goodness, his caring and his wisdom live on... like a legacy of love that will always be with you. Life brings tears, smiles and memories. The tears dry, The smile fades, but the memories live on forever. May each new day ease the burden
Of your sorrow.

Dear Dad,
I have always knownyounto be humble, never wanting recognition for any of the accomplishments you have done. All you ever wanted was to be loved by your family and do better than you did. Well we all loved you very much and as far as doing better than you, can never live up to you! You wanted to see your children grow and become respectable and responsible adults and that you did. You were able to see them grow 1 by 1. Your dreams were fulfilled 10 fold. As much as I don't want you to leave I am happy to think of you and your son, my brother Chuck and mom reunited along with your parents, siblings and all that have waited for you with open arms! We have all been fortunate to have had you in our lives for all these years. God saw you getting tired and he called you home. The tears we shed are for us but that is because you were such a loving and wonderful part of our family. I am so glad to be your daughter, you have taught me so much and I thank you. Now go in Peace and catch up with all our loved ones on the other side. Missing you with a broken heart dad, watch over us until we are called home!
I love you,
Donna

Goodbye Pappy, I will always remember you just like that picture. Joking, happy eating your favorite cheese-it's, ring bologna and cheese, oh and don't forget the Pepsi. I loved that I was certain when I walked in your house I would see jeopardy, wheel of fortune or the Eagles playing on TV. I will never forget all the candy jars full of candy for us, Christmas balls hanging from the ceiling and a train under the Christmas tree.It may seem like nothing to most but to us it was you. Memories will always be in my heart!

Dear Romig Family - John, Donnie, Patty, DonnaLee and grandkids:
We are so sorry for your loss of your dad, grandfather and great grandfather. He was great uncle - I will always remember his hugs and kisses with his great smile on his face. and I remember when I was little girl, I used to spend sleep over with cousin Patty and when he asked me "how many corns (corn on the cob) I wanted to eat, I was only little and I said "10" so he and his wife cooked me lot corns and I didn't eat, but they told me I had to eat all 10 corns, I cried, they were just teasing me! that was my best memories. as I grew older, I know them much better for their teasing me - no more crying! and my memories with Patty and I ran away into wood - picking some grapes from grape vines, and atreat sodas in cooler by grapevines. there's so many memories I had. Thank you for let me be a big part of his life with Patty who taught me get in trouble with!
He was called home to the Lord as his work on Earth was done. He's gone from our sight but not our memories - gone from our hearing but not our hearts - gone from our touch but not our feelings, If there's still a core in your hearts, then fill it with happy memories, try not to be burdened with time of sorrow, let's the sunshine shining on your face with happy memories. Keep our memories to smile again, a day without laughter is a day wasted, so let us remember the quiet moments, the smiles, the laughters, it will be the memories of him to bring us smile again.
May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow, may your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories and love of family and friends carry you through your grief.
your cousin Ruthie
