Adalgisa M. Gonzalez, 87, of Bethlehem, passed away Saturday, December 8, 2012 in St. Lukes Hospital. She was the wife of the late Joseph Anthony Gonzalez, who died in 1972. Born in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico, she was a daughter of the late Ramon and Catalina (Rivera) Ayala. After moving to Philadelphia in 1946, she was employed by Regent Paper Box Co. Adalgisa was a faithful member of Ascension Parish, Philadelphia until moving to Bethlehem, where she belonged to Holy Infancy Church and University Parish of Holy Ghost. Survivors: She is survived by her daughter, Sister Doris Marie Gonzalez, SSJ, of Bethlehem; brother, Jorge Ayala in Puerto Rico; sisters, Maria Nunez of Bridgeport, CT and Merida Rodriguez of Philadelphia. Services: Local calling hours will be 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, December 16 in the Pearson Funeral Home, 1901 Linden Street, Bethlehem. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, December 18 in St. Hugh of Cluny Church, 145 W. Tioga Street, Philadelphia. A calling hour in the church from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., Tuesday will precede the mass. Burial will be in New Cathedral Cemetery.
