Livio Lee Claroni, 90, of Bethlehem died February 26, 2013 in St. Lukes Hospice, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Carmela Messina Claroni. They celebrated 63 years of marriage on July 3, 2012. Lee and his wife were the owners of Claronis Tavern, Nazareth for 33 years, retiring in 1985. Lee was born November 22, 1922 in Rome, Italy, son of the late Adolfo and Aspasia Anticoli Claroni. Lee proudly served in the U.S. Army during WW II. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Nazareth, Knights of Columbus, Hecktown Fire Co. American Legion, Bath, and a life member of the Holy Family Club, Nazareth. Survivors: Besides his wife; he is survived by daughter, Cynthia Friend, Forks Twp.; and sons, Randy Claroni and wife, JoLynn, Bushkill Twp., and Rocco Claroni, Hummelstown; sister, Elsa Claroni, Bethlehem; four grandchildren, Gina Creamer and husband, Mike, Phillip Claroni, Kelsie and Rachel Claroni. Services: Saturday at 10 a.m. in Reichel Funeral Home, 220 Washington Park, Nazareth followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in Holy Family Church. Calling hours Saturday at 8:30 to 10 a.m. in the funeral home. Entombment in Holy Family Mausoleum, Nazareth.
