Clotilde "Tillie" Polentes, 83, of Bethlehem died Monday, April 19, 2021. Born in Bethlehem she was the daughter of the late Angelina (DeLaurentis) and Vincent Iglesias. She was married to Louis P. Polentes with whom she celebrated 63 years of marriage this past September 14th.

Tillie graduated from Liberty High School in 1955 and attended college before and after rearing a wonderful family, receiving a Masters in Education from Moravian College. She was a teacher at Liberty High School retiring after 25 years of dedicated and passionate service. Tillie also worked at St. Luke's Hospital as a medical lab tech for 2 years. She was an avid lover of science, specifically biology and higher anatomy. She was a member of the former Our Lady of Pompeii of the Holy Rosary Church and currently a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Louis, children; Vincent V. Polentes(Sandra), Gregg Polentes(Carole), Blaise Polentes(Elaynee), and Alison Jordan(Alfred), dear nieces Michele and Lenore, sister, Ann Abaza, and nine grandchildren; Brittany, Michele, Elise, Julia, Chloe, Jennifer, Lauren, Jack, Grace, and one great grandson, Leander. She was preceded in death by her sister, Congetta Durs.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 26, 2021 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help RC Church, 3219 Santee Rd, Bethlehem, PA 18020 at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem. Arrangements Connell Funeral Home. To view the mass remotely, please reach out to the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Tillie's name to Our Lady of Perpetual Help or to the charity of one's choice.
