Diane E. Bolich Obituary
Diane Bolich of Emmaus passed away peacefully on August 8th and was welcomed into the kingdom of heaven. She was a beautiful wife, mother, friend and a force of nature. She fought health battles for the last 17 years with a constant smile, positive attitude and a laugh that will be impossible to forget. Those who were lucky enough to cross paths with her, were truly blessed to find an immediate forever friend. She was loyal, honest (sometimes a bit blunt), caring and someone you could always count on. Her goal in life was to make those around her happy and feel loved. She succeeded. Diane was born on September 7th, 1945 in Marietta OH to loving parents William and Marjorie Ludwick (Black). After graduating from Emmaus High School 1963, she continued her education at Maison Felix School of Beauty, Pittsburgh PA. She became a licensed beauty culture teacher and worked in the Jon Michele Salon in the legendary Hess department store as well as working as a manager at Salon 44. Her marriage to Dennis Bolich on October 15,1966 produced daughters Kristine and Emily after which she continued making her friends and family more beautiful in her home salon. She was not only their beautician, but their confidant and sounding board as well. Diane will always be remembered for her incredible cooking and baking, which she shared every chance she had. Diane also lived a life of service to others, that included the Elders Board and Youth Leader at the Emmaus Moravian Church, Jr. Woman's Club, Emmaus HS Reunion Committee and sharing 50 years with the same women in her card club. It was less about the card game and more about this sorority, spending time together whether it be vacations or shopping excursions. Diane is survived by her husband, Dennis Bolich of Emmaus, daughters Kristine Moyer (Jeff) of Lititz PA, Emily Lilien of Largo, FL and grandson Zachary Rockmore of Clearwater, FL. Brother Gary Ludwick (Sherry) of Huntersville, NC. Sister -in-law Joanne Bortz of Cincinnati OH, Brother-in- law James Bolich (Cathy) of Macungie, PA and many nieces and nephews. Services: Our family will greet her friends at Emmaus Moravian Church, Tuesday August 14th, with visitation beginning at 10:00 am and a memorial service at 11:00 am. We would like to thank the staff at Phoebe nursing home where she was a resident for the past 3 years. To the cleaning crew, kitchen staff, CNAs and nurses THANK YOU! You cared for our wife/mom like she was your own and we know how much you loved her and most importantly so did she. In lieu of flowers, donations to Emmaus Moravian Church, 146 Main Street, Emmaus PA 18049 preferred. Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements.
