Franklin O. "Buddy" Stauffer, 87, of Coopersburg, passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2018 in Phoebe Richland. He was the husband of Joan (Egge) Stauffer, celebrating their 61stanniversary in September. Born in Friedensville, he was a son of the late Frank J. and Emily M. (Kauffman) Stauffer. A graduate of Coopersburg H.S., Class of 1950, Buddy was an Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of VFW #3405 in Coopersburg. Buddy was a greenskeeper for the Saucon Valley Country Club for over 50 years and a lifelong member of Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church, Center Valley. Buddy was volunteer at Limeport Stadium and a member of the Limeport AA Stadium Committee. He had a passion for his vegetable garden and yardwork, loved baseball, was a huge Phillies fan, and enjoyed local sports. Buddy was well-known for his baking, enjoyed Country Western music and collecting local treasures. The family would like to thank the staff at Phoebe Richland for the care they provided to Buddy. Always honest, friendly, and patient, he was a loving husband, father, and grandfather with endless stories to tell.He will be missed by his surviving family, Wife, Joan; Daughter, Amy Diehl and her husband Scott; Son, Scott Stauffer and his wife Deborah, all of Coopersburg; Grandchildren, Nathan Diehl and his fiancé Paul Mongold, Megan Diehl, Alex Stauffer and his wife Katie, Allison Stauffer and her fiancé Jordon Kefalas; Great-granddaughter, Prudence; Brother, Timothy Stauffer and his wife Nancy of Quakertown. Buddy was predeceased by a brother Ray and sisters Elaine Stauffer and Jean Schaffer.Services: 10:30 am Saturday, Friedens Church, 2451 Saucon Valley Rd., Center Valley 18034.
