John Tierno Obituary

John L. Tierno
John L. Tierno Sr. of Allentown, died February 7, 2006 in his home. He was the husband of Edna E. (Severin) Tierno. They were married for 54 years in November. He was a production manager for Tarkett Inc. until retiring. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Ralph and Susan (Veslosky) Tierno. He was a member of st. Thomas More Catholic Church, Salisbury Township. He was a World War II Army veteran and a life member of V.F.W. Post 9264, Macungie. Survivors: Wife; sons, John L. Tierno Jr. and his wife, Linda L., of Allentown and Frederick W. Tierno and his wife, Jane T., of Bath; brother, Ralph Tierno of Carlisle, Pa.; grandchildren, Kristin Stokes, Laura Tierno, Anthony Tierno, Ryne Tierno and Jared Tierno. Services: Mass of Christian Burial, will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday in St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 1040 Flexer Ave., Allentown. Calling hour will be held from 10-11 a.m. Friday in the church. Arrangements, J.S. Burkholder Funeral Home, Allentown. Contributions: May be made in his memory to the church, 1040 Flexer Ave., Allentown, Pa. 18103.
