Joyce Oncheck Obituary

Joyce L. Oncheck, 84, of Bethlehem, formerly of Walnutport, passed away Sunday, January 10, 2021, in St. Luke's Hospital-Fountain Hill. She was the loving wife of the late Henry L. Oncheck and devoted mother of the late David A. Oncheck. Born in Cherryville, Lehigh Township, she was the daughter of the late James and Mabel (Gangaware) Eckert. She was a graduate of Northampton High School. Joyce worked as an office clerk at the former Bethlehem Steel before retiring. She loved sharing her home with the many large dogs she adopted from shelters and rescues. Joyce enjoyed traveling, reading, crossword puzzles and working on her many crafts.

Survivors: Niece, Donna Bok and Randy of Nazareth; great-niece, Brandi Bazella and Justin of Emmaus.

Services: Will be private at the convenience of the family. Joyce's arrangements have been entrusted to Hunsicker Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Orefield.

Contributions: Memorial donations may be made to the animal shelter of your choice in her memory.
