Martin Keppel 65, of Allentown, passed away on Friday January 26, 2018. Marty was the husband of the late Patricia J. (Sorber) Keppel who passed in 2003. Born in Allentown he was a son of Dolores (Zwiefel) Keppel of Allentown, and the late Raymond F. Keppel. Marty was a baker for Sodexo in the Lehigh Valley working at Lehigh University for over thirty years. He was a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Church in Allentown. At OLHC he volunteered for many years baking for the Church Carnival, Golf Tournament, Breakfast with Santa, the Night at the Races, and the Pie and Nut Roll Sales. Surviving are his children: son Joseph P.; and daughter Sarah E. wife of Matthew Heydt both of Allentown. His brothers: Dennis R. and wife A. Debbi of Coopersburg, and David P. and wife Brenda of Wescosville. His sister Kathleen E. wife of Richard Gehman of Bethlehem. Marty has one granddaughter Jessika. He was preceded in death by his wife Patricia, his son Martin C., and his father Raymond F.. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday February 2, 2018 at 10:00 in Our Lady Help of Christians. Calling will be on Thursday from 6:00-8:00 pm in the O'Donnell Funeral Home, 908 Hanover Ave. Allentown.

Just read about your dad's passing and just wanted to offer my condolences to you and Joe. Your dad was a great man a very kind man. I know he loved and cared about you very much. Sarah, I'm so sorry for your loss. Your dad was a wonderful kind loving man and I know how proud he was of you!! He, along with your mom and brother will watch over you and guide you daily. My deepest condolences to the Keppel family. I am so honored to have known Marty and have worked with him for the past 5 years at Lehigh. Marty you will be deeply missed. As it is our loss but God's gain as he has received a wonderful angel. I will miss your smile every morning as I will miss saying hello Marty as I walk pass the bake shop everyday but I know you will always be with us at Lehigh. My heart is broken.
