Edward W. Szczepanski, 75, of Slatington, Pa. formerly of Allentown passed away Monday, January 4, 2016 in the Lehigh Valley Hospital - Muhlenberg Campus. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Edward W. Sr. and Stella Rish Szczepanski. Edward was the husband of the late Bonnie R. Held Szczepanski who passed away in December of 2008. Ed served his country honorably in the Army during the Vietnam Era. He was an assembly line worker at Mack Trucks for 34 years until retiring. Ed enjoyed fishing and hunting his entire life. Survivors: son, Brian and wife, Tracy with whom he resided; daughters; Jennifer Szczepanski of Whitehall, Tara Szczepanski of Hellertown; brother Thomas of Allentown; 2 grandsons Drake and Reid. Ed was predeceased by a daughter Tina. Services: A Celebration of Ed's life will be at 11:00am Thursday, January 7, 2016 in the K.V. Knopp Funeral Home, Inc. 46 E. Susquehanna St., Allentown. A viewing for family and friends to be held 10:00am until time of service Contributions: In Ed's memory may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301 in lieu of flowers.

To the family we are so sorry for your loss.
Ed was a great friend. He helped us many times on our cabin, we really appreciated it A great hunter. Had a great sense of humor. We will always have Ed in our hearts. We will miss him more then words can express. May he rest in peace. We will remember all the good times we had with him.
