Shirley Cressman

Shirley A. (Hartman) Cressman, 81, of Allentown, died Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at The Phoebe Home, Allentown. She was the wife of the late Edwin J. Cressman. Born in Allentown, January 8, 1935, Shirley was the daughter of the late Lillian I. (Hartman) Sechler. She was employed as a presser and assembler at the former Greif Company, and prior to that, she was employed as a packer at the former Allentown Record Company, and Allen Laundry. She was a member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ, Allentown and was a volunteer at The Phoebe Home, in Allentown since 2001. Survivors: Sons, Edwin J. Cressman and his wife, Patty of Palmerton, Randall S. Cressman and his wife, Carol of Vancouver, WA, Ritchie A. Cressman of Nesquehoning, William C. Cressman and his companion, Robin Cook of Palmerton; brother, Clayton Sechler and his wife, Carol of Allentown; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; predeceased by a sister, Doris Ziegler. Services: Funeral services will be held 1:30 pm. Saturday, March 5, 2016 in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville. Family and friends may pay their respects from 12:30 - 1:30 pm. Saturday in the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Union Church Cemetery, Neffs.
