Ernestine B. "Ernie" Wolf, 85, of Allentown, passed away on Wednesday March 2, 2016. Ernie was the wife of Carl F. Wolf Sr. and they celebrated their 64th anniversary this past September. Born in Bethlehem she was a daughter of the late Brigido R. and Beatrice (Cortez) Garza. Ernie worked in Ladies Fashions for 19 years at the former Hess's Department Store in Allentown prior to her retirement. Previously she worked at the former Zollinger's and the former Leh's department stores. She was a member of the Cathedral of St. Catharine of Siena in Allentown where she was a member of the Cathedral Choir for more than forty years. She was a member of the Women's Alliance at the Cathedral and was a former cafeteria aide for the school. Ernie was an active bowler throughout her lifetime. Additionally she volunteered in the office at Allentown Central Catholic High School during the 1970's and most recently in the gift shop at the Lehigh Valley Hospital on Cedar Crest Blvd. Surviving with her husband are her sons; Carl F. Jr. and wife Barbara of Bethel, Pa., Mark and wife Karen of Allentown, and Brian and wife Marie of Southbury, CT. Her daughter Christine wife of Joseph Starner of Allentown. A brother Richard and wife Jean of Bethlehem. Her sisters are; Pilar Ziegenfuss of Norfolk, VA, Helen D. Garza and Josephine wife of Pedro Perez both of Bethlehem, and Eleanor Bencak of Lancaaster. A sister in law Kathryn M. Garza of Bethlehem. Ernie's grandchildren are; Krysten, Patricia, Andrew, Amanda, Alexandra, Hannah, Sarah, Samantha, and Abigale. She was preceded in death by her siblings; Brigido R. Garza, Lupe Stass, and Andrea Garza. Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday March 7, 2016 at 11:00 am in the Cathedral. Calling hours will be on Sunday March 6, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 pm in the O'Donnell Funeral Home, 1064 Fifth St. North Catasauqua, and on Monday from 9:30-10:45 am in the Cathedral vestibule. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Ernie's memory to the Cathedral Church, 1925 Turner St. Allentown, Pa. 18104.
