I will always remember, very fondly, her gentle spirit. She was always kind to me and I admired her when I was young.

Polly was truly unique in this world...she was kind and funny and easy to be around...we sat at Charlie Dent's auction, her friend, and we both bought some things so they'd be saved...at her home with Bob I was lucky enough to sit beside Charlie and hear great art stories...Polly reveled in that...her soul was art and she had an exhibit in France. We found some great babka in New York and had a great time. she will be missed. Stacie McKeever

Polly was one of the handful of people in my life that I'm glad I had the pleasure of knowing. Sweet, warm, caring, incredibly intelligent and artistically gifted - the world has lost one of its greats. My sympathies go out to her family.
Rest in peace, Doodle

A number of years back, a company I was working for auctioned off some items. I was fortunate enough to get the prize I truly wanted...a Polly Wood painting. I loved the painting of the soulful woman the moment I saw it. Her eyes held you. Today, I have the painting hung proudly in my office. Your mother's legacy is in the home of someone who never met her, but has been touched my her art.
I will say a prayer that Polly's family is left with beautiful memories and smiles when they think of her.

What very sad news received this morning. Polly was a great artist, a kind soul and a friend. We would get together at Studio 606 - where she had a solo exhibition - and we would share stories about the South of France, exhibitions and painting ... I loved her 'Queen' series, she liked my 'animal chefs' and we often talked about trading paintings with each other. I wish we had.
Polly was an icon in the art world - her paintings were unique, striking and beautiful - just like her. Polly, I miss you already ...

To Damien and Jonas,
Your Mom and grandmother were customers of mine at Wachovia Bank. They were always together. Polly had the sweetest demeanor about her. Never in a bad mood, and always dressed pretty. I really enjoyed seeing her when she came to do her banking. She loved her boys and always talked about you both. Make your Mom proud and be the best you can be. I also know you when you were boys, from doing your banking. You were both very nice, which means your Mom's personality rubbed off on you.
God Bless,
Deana
