Althea Adams

1930 - 2017

Longtime Pennsylvania resident, Althea M. Adams, 87, died peacefully September 18, 2017, in the home of her daughter who was at her side, in Onalaska, TX. Born January 27, 1930 in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Milton D. and Ester M. (Lapp) Rice. She spent all of her youth in Bethlehem until moving to Texas with her daughter. She met and married Arthur S. Adams in June of 1950. Together they raised four children. Althea was employed as an assembler at Burron Medical Supply. Survivors: Daughters, CarolAnn (James) Stutts of Onalaska, TX, and Brenda (Scott) Rudolph of Slatington; sons, Thomas (Cathy) Adams of Bethlehem and Timothy (Missy) Adams of Nazareth; brother, Donald Rice of Bethlehem; sister Frances Silfies of Charlottesville, VA; grandchildren, Tara Brown, Robert Brown, Caulder Schwarz, Michelle Adams and Nicole Adams; great-grandchildren, Hunter Brown, Holly Powers, Kaylee Brown and Aiden Schwarz. In addition to her husband in 2010, she was pre-deceased by a son Jeffrey Adams, granddaughter Tonya Brown, brother Harold Rice, and sister Gladys Bergeris. Services: Graveside services will be held Saturday, September 23, at 11:15 a.m. in Bethlehem Memorial Park. Call Saturday from 10 - 11 a.m. in the Pearson Funeral Home, 1901 Linden St., Bethlehem.
