James Carpenter Obituary

James F. Carpenter Jr., 74, of Whitehall, passed away January 7, 2018. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late James F. Carpenter Sr. and Arline (Hartman) Carpenter. James is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Rosalie (Mazziotta) Carpenter. He was a graduate of Dieruff High School, class of 1961 and continued on to attend LaGuardia Academy of Aeronautics and Design. During his career, he owned and operated Multi-Tech Construction for 28 years until his retirement in 2016. James was on the Board of Directors of Consumer Credit, the Board of Directors for Coplay and Whitehall Sewer Authority, a 50 year member of the Masons, a lifetime member of Fullerton Fire Company, and an active member of the Fullerton Athletic Association where he coached. Whenever James had free time he could be found golfing. He was known as having everything his way and on his own terms, even up until the end. Everyone was proud to have him in their lives and the world has lost a great man, but was a better place for having him in it; he can finally rest in peace. Survivors: He is survived by his two sons, James F. Carpenter III and Britt James Carpenter; one brother, J.H. Carpenter, husband of Virginia; two sisters, Gail Vazquez and Linda, wife of Robert Schleicher III; his God-daughter, Madison Saylor; a large extended family, and friends. Services: 11:30AM on Thursday, January 11, 2018 a graveside service will be held at Grandview Cemetery, 2735 Walbert Ave, Allentown, PA. Jim was President of my Board of Directors at Consumer Credit Counseling Service L.V. Inc for several years and was a key player in the direction and success of the company and it's eventual merger with Money Management International Inc. Most of all he was a true friend that I could count on at any time. I will miss his friendship.

Rest in peace Jim I will always remember our golfing antics at Iron Lakes men's league. You were quite a rebel rouzer in the grille room. I'll miss that Thanks for all the memories you have given those 50 men or so that you played a round or two of golf. Your chalk ball marks will forever stay on the greens.
