Myrtle Porter, 76, of Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community, Meadville, died Monday, March 23, 2009, at Meadville Medical Center.She was born May 16, 1932, in Rochester, N.Y., a daughter of Ethel Cross. She married Howard Carlton Porter.She was a housewife.She was affiliated with First Baptist Church.Survivors include two daughters, Delores Houster and her husband, Jerry, of Niles, Ohio, and Cindy Moore and her friend, John Asball, of Meadville; two sons, Robert Porter of Meadville, and his wife, Linda, of Oil City, and Charles Porter and his wife, Kim, of Meadville; 14 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and two sisters.Calling hour will be April 14 from 1 to 2 p.m. in the chapel at Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community. The funeral will follow at 2 p.m. at Wesbury.
