Bradley Duane Baer passed away on April 27, 2021 . He was born on June 20, 1951, in Albert Lea, MN. In his childhood and teenage years, he lived in Kiester, MN, with his family, parents, Bob and LaVonne, and his brother Bruce. He attended college at Mankato State in MN and then graduated from Arizona State University. Brad moved to San Francisco after college, followed by a few years in Atlanta, Georgia, and then to Houston, TX, where he met and married Linda and where Brandon was born. In 1989, Brad brought his family out to Alamo, Ca, where they lived for 28 years. Most recently in 2017 he and Linda moved to the north coast town of Mendocino. He loved California and always wanted to share the beauty and uniqueness of the state with his family and friends.
Throughout Brad's life he took pride in Sales Development for several companies, including Up -Right Scaffold, Deloitte and Touche, his own company, Baer Solutions, and for approximately the last twenty years, Progent, Inc., an IT company. At Progent he was a valued employee and was instrumental in helping grow the company which now serves businesses both nationally and internationally.
Brad is survived by his wife Linda, his son, Brandon, Brandon's partner, Heather, our family dog, Gracee; his parents, Bob and LaVonne Baer, his brother, Bruce and wife Kathy, as well as many relatives and friends.
Brad will be remembered by his friendliness, his "stop and chats" while walking the dog, his "big Baer hugs", his good sense of humor, and his great laugh. Brad's health was compromised by twenty years of Type II Diabetes and its effects, including the medications used to control the diabetes. He was diagnosed with pancreatic/liver cancer approximately five months before his death. The painful cancer kept his laughter mostly silent. Now there is no pain, and he is free to find the peace his spirit deserves.
"ONE LIFE ON THIS EARTH IS ALL THAT WE GET, WHETHER IT IS ENOUGH OR NOT ENOUGH, AND THE OBVIOUS CONCLUSION WOULD SEEM TO BE THAT AT THE VERY LEAST WE ARE FOOLS IF WE DO NOT LIVE IT AS FULLY AND BRAVELY AND BEAUTIFULLY AS WE CAN ." Frederick Buechner
Brad received very special care from the Adventist Health Home Care Service Mendocino, located in Fort Bragg, CA, during the last weeks of his life. The Mendocino Coast community will always need such kind care.
