Araceli Wright
Feb. 07, 1926 - Mar. 09, 2018
Today, my Mom, Araceli, joined her true love on the next transition from our mortal plane. In her lifetime she lived through the Japanese occupation of the Philippines during World War 2, became a censor after the US liberated her homeland, became a student at The University of Kentucky, graduated from the University of Santo Tomas, worked for the Department of Defense, fell in love with a man from Kentucky named Harold, bore him two children, Dan and Pamela, became a teacher for over 40 years and celebrated 59 years of wedded bliss. She had an outstanding devotion to her husband, children, and two grandchildren, Kaitlin and Daniel. I know that, as always, the two of them will watch over all of us and our expanding Wolfpack. Should there be any confusion between these two souls...I can hear my fathers plea to my mom..."Shoot Celi, We talked about this!" May your new journey be as adventurous as the one I remember so fondly. I love you and will always miss you. Visitation will be held on Wednesday March 14, 2018 from 1-4 p.m. at Wilson Family Funeral Chapel of Merced 525 W. 20th St. Merced, CA 95340. Internment will be private. In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to The Alzhiemer's Foundation.
