BETTY JEAN MCLEAN
NOV 14, 1929 - APR 7, 2018
Betty Jean McLean was born on November 14, 1929 to Sidney and Edna Harris. She passed away on April 7, 2018 in Merced, California.
Betty was a school teacher for children with learning disabilities for over 30 years. She taught mostly 5th through 8th graders. This was her life passion. She taught at Chenoweth, Franklin, Rivera, Ada Givens and Hoover Schools. Her husband Ted McLean was a Squadron Commander of the 93rd Air Refueling Squadron at Castle Air Force Base, Atwater, California and at that time Betty was in charge of the Officer Wives and all their activities and fund raising.
Betty is preceded in death by her husband Ted McLean. She is survived by her children, Lisa (Don) McLean-Aris, Keith McLean and Teddi (Chris) Scoggins; her grandchildren, Brandon Harris (33 yrs), Christopher Scoggins (26 yrs), Ryan Scoggins (24 Yrs) and one great granddaughter, Adelynn Scoggins, who will be turning one on April 17, 2018.
Betty is loved by her family and friends and will be greatly missed but will live on in all their hearts and memories.
