Louie, a longtime resident of Los Banos, previously of Dos Palos, California passed away surrounded by his loved ones at Doctors Medical Center in Modesto on July 6, 2018. He was 79.
He was born August 19, 1938 in Dos Palos, CA, the son of Jesus and Sally Alarcon. Louie enlisted in the US Army at the age of 17 years old and served during 1959 to 1962, during that time he was in Germany. He was a volunteer at the fire department in South Dos Palos for 10 years. He was a supervisor for the South Health Enterprise supervising the homes in South Dos Palos, then he went to work for Tri Valley when they open and he was there when they closed. Louie retired as a truck driver for Ingomar Packing. He was attending Valley Christian Center Church in Dos Palos.
His hobbies included gardening, listening to music, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Louie is preceded in death by his parents: Jesus and Sally Alarcon, one daughter Margie Mora, one son Eloy Alarcon, two sisters: Mary Gutierrez and Toni Alarcon and one brother John Alarcon.
He is survived by his companion of 26 years, Virgi Romero, one daughter, Susan Elms, one so,: Louie Alarcon, Jr., four brothers: Jessie Alarcon, Joe Alarcon, Bobby Rascon and David Rascon, 15 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and many family and friends.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 from 6-8 pm at Whitehurst Funeral Chapel of Dos Palos. Funeral Service on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at 9:30 am at Whitehurst Funeral Chapel followed by the burial at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery at 11:30 am in Santa Nella, CA. Services are entrusted to Whitehurst Funeral Chapel-Dos Palos.
