Tina, Boles
Sept. 16,1960 - June 7, 2018
TINA MAE BOLES, 57: Loving Partner, Loyal Friend, Teacher, Dodger Fan, Adventurer, Rock-n-Roller and one killer softball player passed away June 7, 2018, after giving Leukemia a fierce fight.
Tina was born September 16, 1960 to Barbara and Gene Howard Boles in Torrance, Ca. She graduated from Livingston High in 1978, studied a couple years at Merced College and graduated with a bachelor's degree from UC Stanislaus in '84. Tina drove a school bus as she studied for her teaching credential which she achieved in 1994. She went to work teaching at Weaver School in Merced and remained there until 2017. She was extremely proud of all her kids! Teaching was one of her great joys. She encouraged and mentored countless students and her passion to engage and inspire them was evident to so many. She also coached girls' sports and was athletic director for many years. Between all these different hats that she wore and loved, she impacted and changed many students lives. Tina considered this one of her greatest achievements.
Tina is survived by her partner and soulmate in life and love, Leanne Stookey and their fur "babies" Marley & Tiki. Sister Sally Romans/Allen, Brother Howard Boles/Susie, Sister Barbara Boles, Brother Rocky Thomason, and nephews, nieces, cousins and close friends too numerous to list... but all remembered.
Tina & Leanne traveled across the USA, RV-ing, Camping, taking pictures and bringing home a lifetime of memories. Marley & Tiki were always along for the ride. Together, they never passed up a side trip/photo op or a party—Tina loved to have a good time!
Tina was a big hearted, kind, loving, caring, no nonsense lady who enjoyed life and made the best out of everything. Her cute little crooked smile, humongous infectious laugh and her indomitable spirit will be forever missed. There aren't enough words in the dictionary to fill the story of her life, but most meaningful to her would be that Leanne was by her side when she wrote the last page....
Please join us for a celebration of Tina's life July 14th, 2018
