Resident of San Jose, CA
David, a native of Chicago, IL and retired chaplain of the San Jose Police Department passed away peacefully. A Celebration of Life will be held on January 19, 2018, at 1:00 PM, at Family Community Church, 478 Piercy Road, San Jose 95138. A reception will follow at the San Jose Police Officers Association Hall at 1151 N. 4th Street, San Jose 95112. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the San Jose Police Chaplaincy, PO Box 2202, San Jose 95109.You can read more information at www.darlingandfischergardenchapel.com.

Betty Ruth, I am sorry I was not able to be there personally to give my sympathy to you and your entire family. We were all grateful to be blessed by knowing your husband. I have nothing but fond memories of David. He was such a warm, loving, gentle man, but firm when need be. It is so wonderful to know that he has gone home to be with our heavenly father. I pray that the Bridgen family is comforted by your love and peace in Jesus Name. May your loving memories of David get you through this difficult time.

Dave was always such a wonderful role model. I will never forget his support and counsel. Our trip home from Southern California on 9/11 after the attack is a memory I'll treasure forever.
