In the late 60's Paramount Supply purchased Thayler pipe and took over ownership. In 1969 Paramount Supply asked Andy if he was interested in opening a new location in Santa Clara, so he agreed to and that's how Andy got to Santa Clara. In 1972 N. O. Nelson then made an arrangement to purchase the majority of the stock in Santa Clara location and Andy began his career with Santa Clara N. O. Nelson. Andy ran the store and trained many sales people some of whom are still running stores of their own, Jim Dalton, John Wyatt, Rick Mortenson and Gary Krans to name a few. Andy was on the ground floor of building a group of supply companies for N.O.Nelson/now called Winwholesale. In 1978 he moved from management to concentrate on sales and training. During his tenure he helped drive sales from 500k to 80m. Andy was well liked and respected by all the people involved in the industry including buyer's, engineers, owners and customers. He semi-retired in 1996, but stayed working two days a week training salesmen which is what he loved to do. In March of 2005 he fully retired. Andy always stayed in touch up until the time of his passing. The industry has lost one of the true pioneers of the industry.
