Catherine (Bordisso) Canova
August 20, 1916 - May 8, 2018
Resident of Millbrae
Catherine passed away at the age of 101 of natural causes. She was born in Keswick, an old mining town in Shasta County, CA to Pietro and Madelena (Ramolfo) Bordisso. They migrated from Italy to California seeking better opportunities, which were realized. They also had a son, William Peter Bordisso. She grew up in San Francisco, attended Portola Junior High, and married Gaudenzio Enzio Canova on March 6, 1937 in San Francisco at the age of 20. They celebrated 64 anniversaries before Enzio passed away in 2001. Known as Nonnie Kate, she always put others before herself, and was so well known for her cooking that her home was called "Katie's Kitchen".
Catherine's family celebrates her life and deeply mourns her passing.
