Geno Castello

Geno passed away peacefully on Wednesday at home with his family at his bedside holding hands. His wish was to always remain home and, as usual, he got his way.
Geno was born in San Jose, raised in Sunnyvale and attended Fremont High School where he met Victoria Bresson the love of his life for 72 years. He farmed the orchards with his brothers and sister growing Cherries, Apricots and Prunes in the Valley of Heart's Delight until the late 1960's. The economy began to change so Geno and the family switched the business to retail properties which he personally managed well into his 80's. He brought the same care and dedication to managing the retail centers as he did the orchards and took care of the whole family throughout the years. He was a man of constant motion and energy who loved working and always having new projects. Geno was a dedicated and generous husband and father who always provided the best for his family and was ready to offer his support for all good ideas.
Geno is survived by his loving wife, Victoria, his devoted children Gina Wagner (John) of Los Gatos, Victor Castello (Debbie) of Los Gatos, grandchildren Victor Castello Jr. (Kristina), Michael Castello (Bridget), Amy Nichols (Austin), Jeff Castello, Lauren Ward (Robby), Will Wagner and six great – grandchildren.
