Leonard Brandenburg Obituary

Leonard Walter Brandenburg October 8, 1912 - March 8, 2006

Len Brandenburg passed to his heavenly home on March 8, 2006. He was a native of Edgeley, North Dakota and a 60 year resident of the Mountain View/Sunnyvale area. Lovingly survived by his wife Lee and siblings, Pearl Flegel, Walter (Bernie) Brandenburg and Dolly Taszerek and sister-in-law Rella Brandenburg. Adored by children Judy Merrill of Walnut Creek and Barbara (Doak) Whitley of Auburn, Ca. Grandfather of Scott, Branden and Meghan Merrill, Wendy (Leif) Lowery and Stephanie (Tyson) Whitley Powers. Great Grandfather of Taylor Lee and Lillian Blaire Lowery as well as Karlee Lou Powers due in May. Also survived by family angels, Aunt Ruth Henkel and cousins, Bob (Chris) Henkel and Karla & Doug Peterson in addition to many other beloved relatives.

Len was a barber and business owner who loved to hunt, root for the Giants and sing praises to the Lord.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2006 at 11:00 AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 1075 El Monte Ave., Mtn. View, CA. A reception will follow. Contributions in his memory may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church or the American Lung Association, California Chapter, 1499 Park Ave., San Jose, CA 95126. Arrangements by the Cusimano Family Colonial Mortuary, Mtn. View, CA.

A familiar face from days past has left to a Heavenly place, joining family and friends who went before.

The visits to the Brandenburg home in Mountain View are fond ones along with the hospitaliy of Len and Lee. My prayers are with you... Keep the faith.
