Marcie Hutchinson passed away on Saturday, February 6th, due to complications from pneumonia. She touched many lives with her sweet disposition, intelligence, and sincere interests in others.
Marcie was born in Modesto CA, the first daughter of J. Wayne and Hazel Schoech. She attended the public schools and graduated from the California State University, Fresno with a BA. She later went on to get an MA from San Francisco State University. She enjoyed successful careers as an airline stewardess, a grade school teacher for 10 years, and a well-regarded psychotherapist for many years.
She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, skiing, bicycling, hiking, playing tennis, seriously playing bridge, and traveling throughout the world.
Marcie is survived by her loving and grateful husband, Martin Hutchinson, her devoted daughter Janet Nisi (Rob) of Oceanport NJ, and her four granddaughters: Taylor, Madison, Christina, and Catherine Nisi. Marcie was preceded in death by her beloved son David when he was 18 years old. She is also survived by her loving sister, Cynthia Harland (John) of Campbell CA, and her two brothers: Wayne Schoech (Barbara) of Passumpsic VT and Steve Schoech (Sally) of Honolulu HI.
A memorial service will be held at a later date due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
