Paul Alfred Maccan Obituary
Paul Alfred Maccan
May 17, 1959 ~ Sept. 2, 2018
It is with great sadness that the family of Paul Maccan announces his passing on Sunday, September 2, 2018 at the age of 59. Paul is lovingly remembered by his family and friends, including his wife Robin, and their children Camille and Holly; his mother Claudette Maccan; his siblings Mark Maccan, Susan Dapkus, and Terri Maccan; his sisters-in-law Julie Maccan and Kim Isola; his brothers-in-law Dean Dapkus, Keith Mackenzie, Matt Isola, and Matt Edwards; and his nieces and nephews Amber Rego, Alyssa Jackson, Rachel Maccan, Haley and Weston Dapkus, Ian Mackenzie, and Matthew and Sam Isola. Paul was preceded in death by his father, Alfred Maccan.
Paul loved his family deeply. He was the dedicated videographer for all his daughters' sporting events, expert math mentor, fixer of all gadgets and technology, cat whisperer, and rock 'n' roll lover — especially Santana's Let It Shine: "See the light, let it shine down on me, feeling good, knew I would, ever since you set me free." He attended Mills High School and Cal-Poly, San Luis Obispo. He worked at Adobe Systems for over 20 years. Paul had a zest for outdoor activities such as golf, motorcycle riding, skiing, and fishing. He was an avid fan of the 49ers, Giants, Warriors, and all motorsports.
Paul is and always will be deeply loved by all who knew him. He left us way too soon, but will remain a persistent source of hope, happiness, and pride to family and friends alike.
A celebration of Paul's life will be held on Thursday, September 13th from 5-9 p.m. at Crippen & Flynn Woodside Chapel, 400 Woodside Road, Redwood City. Interment will be on Friday, September 14th at 10:30 a.m. at Skylawn Memorial Park, Hwy. 92 and Skyline Blvd., San Mateo, CA 94402. Attendees can meet at Crippen & Flynn by 9:45 a.m. to join the procession, or can go directly to the burial site.
