Watie Charles Anthney was called home on Saturday, surrounded by his family.
Watie was born in Marble City, OK to Lee and Opal Anthney. After serving in the U.S. Army, he moved to Campbell, CA where he enjoyed a 36 year career with PG&E. Watie spent his free time hunting, fishing, serving as a board member for the Congress of California Seniors, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Watie is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Virginia; sons Randy Anthney of Campbell and Larry Anthney (Laura) of Leander, TX; granddaughters Danielle Wimmer (Michael) and Taylor Herrera (Danny) of Gilroy; great granddaughters Preslee Wimmer and Reagan Herrera. He is also survived by brother, Odis Anthney (Diane) of Springdale, AR and Erma Anthney of Citrus Heights.
Friends and family are invited to services at Darling Fischer in Campbell on Saturday, Sept. 8th at 11:00 am.
