Joyce J. Walters
Resident of San Jose
9/9/1925 - 4/20/2010
Born to Charles and Rose Johnson in Coeur D'Alene, ID, raised in Portland, OR, and lived in Philadelphia, Los Angeles, and San Jose. Joyce is survived by three sons Bill, Chuck, and John and two grandchildren Cameron Walters and Sharon Casey, all of whom reside in the bay area. She attended Grant High School in Portland and married William E Walters of Port Royal, PA, in 1944, who preceded her in death in 1994.
Joyce and her family hosted a foreign exchange student from Chile in 1965 and was active with the American Field Service. She enjoyed bowling for many years and, through the Women's Bowling Congress, participated in many national bowling tournaments. A private memorial is being held at her home and her ashes will be scattered at sea.

Joyce has been a wonderful neighbor for as long as I can remember. Bill put together my first bike. I have lots of fond memories growing up across the street from the Walters. RIP. My condolences to her wonderful family.
