Monteele Mashberg

UNION – Services for Monteele Mashberg will be held Saturday at 12 p.m. at Mt. Zion Congregational Methodist Church with the Revs. Todd Thompson and Ron Gilstrop officiating. Milling Funeral Home of Union is in charge of arrangements. Ms. Mashberg, 76, of Decatur, died Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2009, at Infinity Hospice of Marion. Survivors include two daughters, Connie W. Semmons of Decatur and Julia Garrett and her husband Korey of Decatur; five sons, Tucker of Decatur, Tommy Way and his wife Aniek of Louin, Joe Way and his wife Ginger of Decatur, Hank Way of Meridian, and Vinnie Tucker of Decatur; 18 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one half sister, Lucy Tucker of Dixie. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Sonny Reeves, James T. Way, and William Mashberg; and a daughter-in-law, Dessa "Kelly" Mercer. The family requests memorials be made to the Bill Mashberg Memorial Soccer Field c/o Newton County High School, 16255 Highway 503, Decatur, Miss. 39327. Visitation will be held Saturday, from 10:30 a.m.- 12 p.m. at the church.
