Elden Lee Brown, 58, of Emmett, Idaho, died Feb. 19, 2013, at a local hospital of natural causes. A celebration of his life was held on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at the Potter Funeral Chapel in Emmett. The family requested friends dress in casual attire. Burial followed at the Emmett Cemetery.
Elden was born on Aug. 27, 1954, at Emmett to William and Mildred Cameron Brown. He was one of eight brothers and sisters. Elden lived in Emmett and Letha, Idaho, all of his life. He attended Letha and Emmett schools. He grew up in the orchards, where his dad and family worked. Later Elden began working at Don's Meats, where he learned to cut meat. Elden moved on from there in 1977 to the Boise Cascade Mill. He worked in the plywood mill until it closed in 2001. His last employment was at Winco in Meridian where he cut meat.
Elden married Carlene Schiller on Feb. 14, 1976. Of this union, two sons were born Justin and Jeffery. Elden enjoyed all of the time he spend out on his farm with his family. He enjoyed riding his four wheeler, was an avid hunter and enjoyed salmon fishing.
He is survived by his two sons Justin and Jeffery Brown; Carlene Schiller; Little Shelbs (Shelby) his loving poodle; and siblings Irene (Jack) Browne, Sharon Goslin, Gene Brown, Marla (Carroll) Pasley, Karen (Rick) Wright and Lorna (Pat) Boone; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother William Brown.

Elden was a great man that I got to know because my brother married his niece, he would come to our family functions. He was a great man and i am glad I had the opportunity to get to know him. Rest in Peace.
