Virginia "Ginny" Driemeyer

Virginia "Ginny" Driemeyer, 96, of Emmett, Idaho, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2013. at a local assisted living center.
Graveside memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, March 15, 2013. at the Emmett Cemetery, under the direction of the Potter Funeral Chapel in Emmett.
Ginny was born March 4, 1917, to Eleanor and Edward Ottsen in St. Louis, Mo. She graduated from Fontbonne University in St. Louis in 1938 with a B.A. degree and English Major.
She had one brother, Lamar, who won the International Speed Skating Championship in 1939 and went on to be nominated to the Olympic Committee.
In 1941 she married William "Bill" Driemeyer and had their only children, Terry and Denny.
Virginia was a working housewife employed from time to time as a substitute teacher and also worked briefly in real estate. She retired from Jefferson Community College, University of Kentucky and was awarded the Directors Award.
Ginny and Bill enjoyed vacationing throughout the U.S. and also traveled to England, Mexico and Columbia.
Survivors include her sons, Terry and Denny and her daughter-in-law, Barbara; two grandsons, Tim and Rob; and two great-grandchildren.
