Gary L. DeWitt
January 3, 1933 - June 27, 2018
Gary L. DeWitt 85 of Garden City formerly of Emmett, passed away June 27, 2018 at his home.
Gary was born January 3, 1933 in San Bernardino, California. He grew up in California and served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He married Connie L. Martin in San Bernardino. They lived in the Emmett and Boise areas. He worked for many years at the prison in Boise and later doing security at HP. Connie died in 1995 and in 1997 he married Sharon Hervey in Boise.
He enjoyed camping, riding motorcycles and art work. He loved cars, motorcycles and a cold beer.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon of Garden City; a daughter, Jill and Lance Christensen of Colton, Oregon; a step daughter, Robin and Eric Thurber and their children Liam and Lane of Boise.
Memorial services with Military Honors will be held on Friday, July 6th at 11:00 a.m. at the Potter Funeral Chapel. Inurnment will follow at the Emmett Cemetery.
The family suggest that memorials be made in his name to St. Luke's MSTI, 100 E. Idaho St., Boise, ID 83712.
