Rev. James F. White, pastor of the Valley Christian Assembly, Emmett, Idaho, born May 5, 1930, passed away peacefully in his sleep on July 9, 2014.
Rev. James and his wife of 59 years, Gloria founded and pastored the Valley Christian Assembly until his passing. Rev. James began his ministry in 1954 after being honorably discharged from the Army where he served during the Korean War. In his 60 years of preaching the gospel, with his wife by his side, he touched countless lives through his obvious love for, and dedication to Jesus Christ, his savior.
Rev. James is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Clinton and Jessie Mae White and two brothers, Bobby and Aaron.
His is survived by his devoted wife, Gloria; two sons, Jimmy and Gary and his daughter, Wanda; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; his sister Juliette Beck and two brothers, Darrel and Wayne.
Memorial services will be held at the Valley Christian Assembly, 9777 W. Highway 52, Emmett, Monday, July 14, 2014, at 11 a.m.  Burial will follow in the Emmett Cemetery. Arrangements are with the Potter Funeral Chapel in Emmett.
