Paulanne "Pod" Holford
September 7, 1966 - June 11, 2018
Paulanne "Pod" Holford passed away June 11, 2018 from complications of her illness. She was born Sept. 7, 1966 in Emmett, Ida. to Sharon Bryant and Frank Moore. Paulanne was raised in Emmett until the family moved to Bakersfield, Calif., for about 5 years. Her family moved back to Emmett and later Paulanne moved to Reno, Nev. in the late 80s and early 90s and worked at Boomtown Casino for about 5 years. She moved back to Emmett and worked at Budget Host Inn in Boise for ten years until her health began to worsen. She then took a job at Stinker Station until health problems forced her to retire.
Paulanne married her high school sweetheart Jim "Jimmy" Holford on Dec. 11, 2012. When she was able to she and Jimmy would pack up and go camping at their special spot she called her "home away from home." She said she felt so much peace and serenity while she was there it was sometimes hard to come back home. She loved spending time with her family and friends and especially her four-legged fur babies. She also loved going on road trips, especially to Arizona to visit "Angel Baby" (her great-niece Audrina) who stole Aunt Pods heart from day one. When Audrina was told about Aunt Pod getting her wings she told Uncle Jimmy "guess Aunt Pods my guardian angel now."
Paulanne is preceded in death by her grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Paul Howe and uncle Harvey Howe of Emmett; sister Mary Ruska of Emmett, and great-nephew David Johnson of Cottonwood, Ariz.
Paulanne is survived by her parents, Sharon Bryant of Cottonwood, Ariz. and Frank and Brenda Moore of Gore, Okla.; brother Dwayne "Skeeter" and Monica Moore of Liberal, Kan.; sister Dawn Butcher, Cottonwood, Ariz.; brother William "Tuffy" and Connie Ruska of New Plymouth, Ida. She is survived by son Scott and Dana Stiles, Gardnerville, Nev.; son Nick and Christine Pettit of Iowa; step-sisters Terri Bryant of Emmett and Tommi Bryant of Houston, Tex.; many beloved grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and step-niece.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday, July 9 at Cobblestone Park.
"I miss you."
My eyes can no longer see you, my hands can no longer touch you, no longer can I hear you.
I called for you but no answer returns to me. I cry for you but it doesn't bring you back to me.
I try to dream of you but none come to me.
I loved you and love you still. I thought of you and think of you still. I will miss you now and forever will.
Love, Mom
