Jeffrey Michael Delaney of Waltham, passed away unexpectedly Saturday March 31st, 2012 in his home at the age of 33. Born on July 27, 1978 in Waltham; beloved son of Michael and Marcia (Devoe) Delaney of Waltham; Jeff was a lifelong resident of Waltham and a graduate of Waltham High School with the Class of 1996. Jeff was a talented star athlete in High School as Captain of the Waltham High School Football Team, he also played Lacrosse and Hockey for the High School and traveled with a regional minor USA Hockey Team to compete in Italy while he was a teenager. After graduation he attended Plymouth State College in New Hampshire for one year while continuting to play football both at Plymouth State and for the Randolph Oilers Semi-professional team. In his spare time he enjoyed skiing, listening to country music, attending country concerts, singing karaoke and taking care of his dog Damian. Jeff would always say Family First, he was a devoted friend, loyal to a fault and proud of his Irish Heritage. In addition to his parents he is survived by his loving sisters Stacey Delaney Rogers and her husband Michael of Bourne and LCDR, United States Navy Jennifer Delaney Stimson and her husband Jared of San Diego, CA, his cherished nieces Avery, Claudia, & Emerson, many dear aunts, uncles, cousins and devoted friends. Relatives & Friends are respectfully invited to attend Funeral Services from the Brasco & Sons Memorial Chapels, 773 Moody Street, WALTHAM on Friday morning April 6th at 9:00 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of Jeffs Life at Saint Judes Church, 147 Main St., Waltham at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Mt. Feake Cemetery in Waltham. Visiting Hours will be held in the Funeral Home on Thursday April 5th from 3 | 8 p.m. Parking attendants on duty.
