Not sure what to say?

RIP Bill Mack, you were to me a king of Rockabilly, it's Saturday night is a great recording, your voice and lyrics and great backing band, same as your other recordings on Starday.

I met Bill Mack back in the early 70's. He came through the back door in though the kitchen of the cafe I worked at in Durant Oklahoma called the KC wafflehouse. He and his entourage had made reservations and all ate there the night they were in town. He was a very nice guy. I listened to him many times on the radio but after meeting him listening to him seemed a little more personal. Whish he were still around.

i was a trucker retired in 09 from roadway exp i heard his show for 40 years i miss him

Oh Mr. Bill Mac the truck and cowboy has kept me awake many at night trying to get that load the word supposed to be at on time, listening to him, talk and listening to the other musicians that he´s invited and made the time go by quick rest in peace, Bill, the trucking industry lost important supporter

He was a nice man. Saw him one time when I was 18 along with buck Owens in abilene tx. RIP MR. Bill Mack

I slept with Bill Mack and the Open Road Show playing on the radio in my Hurst, Texas bedroom. Could not get enough of old country music! Thanks Bill, for so any great memories of waking up in the wee hours and hearing Merle singing “Silver Wings” or you singing “Drinking Champagne” and realizing that all was right in Texas.

I was stationed at Sheppard AFB, Wichita Falls, Tx in 1954-55. I hung out at Guffey's drug store and Bill had his evening meal at Guffey's. I woud visit with him and have coffee with him. We enjoyed talking about music and artist's. I have not had contact with Bill since that time. Nice guy.

He will be missed.
