CALEDONIA, Mich. — Leonard D. "Len" Young, 53, formerly of Piqua, more recently of Caledonia, Mich., died at 8:10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 31, 2015, at his residence. He was born June 6, 1962, in Piqua to Rosalie C. (Meiring) Young, who survives in Piqua, and the late Ronald W. Young Sr. He married Tammy S. Cecil Oct. 2, 1998, in Dayton, and she survives.

Other survivors include two daughters, Jessi Young of Knoxville, Tenn., Morgan Young of Greenville; a step-daughter, Brittany Tackett of Piqua; and a brother, Ronald W. (Melissa) Young of Minster.

Mr. Young was a 1980 graduate of Piqua Central High School, a 1984 graduate of Miami University, Oxford, and earned his master's degree in Business Administration from Wright State University. He was working with the General Electric Corp. as a Controller of Finance. He was a member of the Warren Masonic Lodge #24 and enjoyed fishing, boating, reading and was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan. He will be deeply missed by his loving family and many friends.

A service to honor his life will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2016, at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Pastor Charles Wilkins officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, where a Masonic Service will be conducted at 6:30 p.m.

Had many fun times with Len as kids riding bicycles and goofing off in band. Also did business with him at GE-TDI. Tammy and the family is in my prayers.
