Darren D. Spicer
Darren D. Spicer, 52, died of cancer on Dec. 25, 2020 at his home in Whitehall, Mich. He was born on Jan. 26, 1968 in Bay City to Robert and Joann (Rotarius) Spicer.
He was raised in Bad Axe, where he excelled as a pitcher for the Bad Axe Hatchets high school baseball team in the 1980s. He was in the golf course grounds management field for many years and was last employed by the Whitehall Walmart.
Among those who will miss him include his parents, Robert and Joann Spicer of Bad Axe; brother Jeff Spicer of Manton; sister Beth Smith of Bad Axe; his wife Lorrie Griffin Spicer of Whitehall; Lorrie's son Justin Griffin, his wife and their two daughters of Twin Lake; and many other family members throughout Michigan and the US. Memorial donations in honor of Darren may be made to an animal rescue of your choice. A potluck gathering will be held at a later date.
