Audrey Janice Scotti Obituary
Scotti, Audrey Janice
Audrey Janice Scotti, born on April 8, 1939 to the late John Louis and Constance DiGiandomenico Scotti was the mother to Joanne and Richard T. Palozie and the late Jonathan S. Palozie. She was Oma to Andrew James and Richard Joseph "RJ" Palozie.
Audrey held a bachelor's degree from Southern New Hampshire University. She was a graduate of the Women's Campaign School at Yale and did graduate studies at the Dana Hall Institute at Wellesley.
In addition, she was a member of AAUW, serving as the CT delegate to the CT Commission for Choice. She was a Lion and served in every office, including being the administrator for the Head of the Connecticut Regatta. She was a Melvin Jones Fellow, She received the Ruth Steincroft Cohen award for outstanding Woman of the Year.
Audrey spent most of her adult life as a vanguard, improving services for women and girls. Having health services for all women and girls was something she took very serious.
Audrey was a voracious reader who loved P. D. James and Donna Leon. P. D. James wrote her British mysteries with a flair her Anglican connections and Donna Leon helped her relive her days in northern Italy with her tales of Commissario Brunetti.
Funeral services were private as she was laid to rest by her parents in the family plot. There are no calling hours. Audrey would rather you take a friend to lunch or reach out and perform some act of kindness.
On September 4th she passed away peacefully at home. D'Angelo Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
