Bole, Joyce D.
Joyce D. Bole, 93, of Windsor Locks and formerly of East Hartford, peacefully passed away on July 9, 2018. Joyce was the beloved wife of George H. Bole for 64 years. Born in Middletown in 1925, she was the daughter of the late Christopher and Rana Dengler. Joyce had been a resident of East Hartford for over 50 years prior to moving to Windsor Locks in 2007. She was a faithful member of the South Congregational Church of East Hartford for over 63 years and was an active member of the church choir. Prior to her retirement, Joyce worked at Pratt & Whitney. Joyce enjoyed music, taking care of her houseplants, spending time outside and at the beach, playing bingo but most importantly spending time with her family. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by two sisters Marilyn Stiffle and Carol Stoddard. Joyce is survived by her three sons, Paul Bole of Davenport, FL, Raymond Bole and his wife, Anne, of Laconia, NH, William Bole and his wife, Donna, of Windsor Locks and her grandchildren, Christopher Bole and Sarah Bole both of Windsor Locks; a sister, Christine Werner and her husband Joseph, of Centerville, MA; as well as several nieces and nephews and many dear friends.
A graveside service will take place at Fountain Hill Cemetery, 57 High St. Deep River, CT 06417 on Friday July 20th at 10 a.m.
A memorial service will take place at South Congregational Church, 1301 Forbes St. East Hartford, CT 06118 on Friday July 20th at 11:30 a.m.
There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the South Congregational Church Memorial Gift Fund, 1301 Forbes St. East Hartford, CT 06118 or the Windsor Locks Lions Ambulance Charities, 401 Spring St. Windsor Locks, CT 06096.
