Bartolotta, Mary
Mary (Rybczyk) Bartolotta, 93, of Middletown, wife of the late Joseph N. Bartolotta, passed away after a short illness at Middlesex Hospital on Thursday May 10, 2018 surrounded by her family. She was born in Middletown, the daughter of the late Peter and Helen (Mozdzierz) Rybczyk. Mary attended St. Mary's School and Woodrow Wilson High School and was a lifelong resident of Middletown. She was a volunteer at Middlesex Hospital for over thirty-five years accumulating over twelve thousand hours and received many awards and accolades for her service. Mary was a lifetime parishioner of St. Mary Church and a member of the Catholic War Veterans' Auxiliary Post 1166, serving as Third Vice President. She was also a member of the Polish Knights Auxiliary and the Saint Theresa Guild. Mary is survived by her daughter, Sandra Cannata and her husband Joseph of Cromwell, son, Joseph Bartolotta of East Hartford, sisters, Betty Drag and Agnes DiStefano and her husband, Nicholas, all of Middletown. Three grandchildren, Robert Marosz and his wife Dragana of Wallingford, Michael Marosz, and Christa Drzewiecki, both of Cromwell; great grandchildren, Natalija and Vladimir Marosz, Alec and Emma Drzewiecki and Sadie Marosz; also several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Veronica Witkowski and Ann Czepiel; brothers, Anthony, Stanley, Walter, and John Rybczyk; and her long time companion, Joseph Dziezyk. Funeral services will be held Friday (May 18th) at 9:15 a.m. from Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St., Middletown, followed by a 10 a.m. Funeral Liturgy at St. Mary Church, Middletown.
